We have been working with colours and shapes a lot- I suppose that is pretty much the whole point of fashion and textiles- but have now moved on to making collages of shapes stuck together. It was quite random at first, but then we had to start trying to translate the collages into fashion designs by adding heads and playing around with scale. Some examples for you:
We then moved on to trying to figure out how they would look on a body, having to work quickly to just churn out the designs...
Then we chose three to work with a bit more...
I, with my new found love of negative colour photocopying, reversed the colours...
And there you are! A collection of new outfits to wear to Tesco!...or not...
