Nymans Garden

BOOM!!!! Tee hee, thought I would hit you with a burst of explosive colour! I think the above photo does that pretty well. It was taken during a trip to Nymans Garden yesterday. Nymans is a gorgeous place with gardens and a very pretty ruin that used to be a house but got burnt down around the 1920s- it was never rebuilt because the owner wasn't insured so now it is mostly just a romantic shell.

Apologies for the gloomy nature of some of these photos, just pretend it adds to the mystery and intrigue of the place...

There are some lovely doorways, arches and windows around the place.

And there are some very interesting features in the gardens, like horseshoes in trees and gorgeous wisteria covered tunnels...

There were very pretty plants...

...and lots of interesting textures in the bark or the stones...

My favourite plant had to be this tree. The flowers on it were amazing!! They look like little white handkerchiefs fluttering in the breeze, so pretty.
